The HEA plan covers you in Five important ways:

1   |   Daily Hospital Confinement 
We will pay you starting with the very first day you are hospitalized, anywhere in Canada or the United States, for up to 365 days per accident.

2   |   Daily Intensive Care 
We will pay you if you are confined to an intensive care unit in Canada or the United States for up to 365 days per accident. This benefit is paid in addition to the Daily Hospital benefit.

3   |   Recovery Benefit Following Hospital Confinement
Following hospitalization, we will pay you for a minimum of 10 days, regardless of whether or not you are disabled. That’s $3,000 if you select Plan 3. If you are hospitalized for more than 3 days, we will pay you up to 3 times the number of days you were hospitalized while you are unable to work or perform your usual activities (if you are not employed) due to disability.

4   |    Recovery Benefit Following Outpatient Surgery or Fracture
Even if you are not hospitalized, if you have an accident that requires outpatient surgery, or you have a fracture, and you are unable to work or perform your usual activities, we will pay you up to 14 days while you recover.

5   |    Ambulance Reimbursement
Even if you are not hospitalized, we will reimburse you for the cost of your ambulance services based on the plan you choose.

Pays up to $4,000 per year for outpatient surgeries based on four (4) occurrences per year.

Pays up to $800 per accident for up to 20 prescribed rehabilitative treatments like speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Additionally, reimburses up to $200 as a lump sum for prescribed medical appliances.

We will pay you up to $800 for your doctor-prescribed rehabilitation therapy. ** This includes physical, speech, or occupational therapy treatments.

We will reimburse you in cash up to $200 for the purchase or rental of medical appliances like ventilators, crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, nebulizers, etc., if prescribed by a doctor.

Pays up to $2,000 a month for each accident, starting the first day you can't work.

Pays up to $2,000 a month if you are partially disabled for a maximum of 30 days.

If you still cannot work full-time after Total Disability, the Return to Work benefit pays you up to $1,000 for a maximum of 30 days

1   |   Total Disability
We will pay a benefit directly to you up to $2,000 a month for up to 6 months if your accident results in Total Disability.

2   |   Partial Disability â€‹
We will pay a benefit directly to you up to $2.000 per accident if you should become partially disabled for up to 30 days.

3   |   Return to Work
We will pay a benefit directly to you up to $1,000 per accident if vou are partially disabled following Total Disability for up to 30 days.

4   |    Return of Premium Rider
​​We will pay you back 50% or 100%** of premium payments, less any claims paid, after the policy and this rider are in force for 20 consecutive years.
